Advocacy for Meaningful Change

At Dave’s Gift, we believe that access to mental health care should not depend on a person’s income, employment status, or insurance benefits. While our current focus is on helping individuals access mental health support through subsidies, we recognize that lasting change requires addressing the larger systems that create barriers to care.

Our vision is to become a strong voice for mental health advocacy by encouraging employers, insurance providers, and government leaders to prioritize mental wellness as an essential part of overall health.

We hope to advocate for:
• More comprehensive workplace benefits that provide meaningful mental health coverage.
• Insurance plans that offer accessible and affordable mental health support.
• Public policies that recognize mental health care as a fundamental component of health care.
• Standards that ensure Canadians have access to adequate mental health coverage, regardless of where they work.

How can you help and get involved?

Mental health challenges affect individuals, families, workplaces, and communities. By working together to remove financial barriers and improve access to care, we can create a future where seeking help is not a privilege, but a right.

Change begins with conversation, grows through advocacy, and becomes reality when communities come together to demand better. Dave’s Gift is committed to being part of that movement.
